Haus Adima — Born to Lead

Haus Adima

A house in Singapore, making clothes for men whose work requires them to stand in front of other people.

It began with an observation

In every auditorium there is a very short moment before the speaker opens his mouth. In those seconds the room has heard nothing at all. It is only looking.

And in those seconds, most of its attitude has already been decided.

Haus Adima exists to serve them.

Italian soul, German discipline

Our founder, Tim Sim, spent years buying Italian. He loved what Italy understood about a garment — the fall of a shoulder, the weight of a cloth, the confidence to leave a detail unspoken.

He also drove German, and came to trust what that engineering stood for: a thing that performs on the five-hundredth morning exactly as it did on the first.

The two convictions did not sit comfortably together. Beauty and reliability seemed to belong to different countries.

Haus Adima was founded to hold both. The name begins with Haus — the German word for house — because a house keeps its rules. One specification, held. One price, held. One number of pieces each year, held.

Who we make for

For the speaker, when the microphone is live and three hundred people are looking.
For the trainer, when the session runs eight hours and the shirt has to hold its shape until the last one.
For the founder, when the meeting that decides everything is set for nine in the morning and there is no second attempt.

We do not make for men who need a great deal of clothing. We make for the man who needs exactly one shirt.

What we do not do

We do not follow seasons. There is no new collection each quarter to make last quarter’s obsolete.
We do not discount. Not once.
We do not sell through marketplaces.
We do not print a large logo. Ours sits at the left chest, small enough that a man has to stand close to see it — and clear enough that he remembers it.

Why only 168 pieces a year

We could make more. The workshop has the capacity and the market has the appetite.

But the number was settled on the first day: one year, one hundred and sixty-eight pieces.

The first reason belongs to you. A man on a stage does not want to look down at the front row and find his own shirt sitting in it. The more we make, the likelier that becomes. At one hundred and sixty-eight, it very nearly cannot.

The second reason belongs to us. Making few allows us to inspect each piece, embroider each name, and give every fitting the time it deserves. A workshop running at capacity cannot do that.

The third reason is the number itself. One, six, eight. Across Asia it needs no explanation. We chose it because it says precisely what this house wishes for the man who wears it.

Each shirt carries its own number on the inner label: 2026 · 087/168. When the year’s edition is complete, we stop until the next one. We do not make more, even when there are men still asking.

What we promise, for as long as you own it

Every Haus Adima piece carries a lifetime guarantee on its seams. A loose thread or a fault in the making is repaired at no charge, with no receipt required and no time limit.

After twelve months of wear, bring the shirt back and we will renew it.

This is not an after-sales policy. It is the reason the shirt costs what it costs.

Why a shirt costs what it costs

Because you are not buying a shirt. You are buying the way a room reads you in the three seconds before you speak.

168pieces a year

An entire year of production

One hundred and sixty-eight shirts. That is the whole year. When they are gone we stop until the next one — even while men are still asking.

105minutes with us

A specialist’s undivided time

Forty-five minutes taking your measure, and sixty more on how you are seen from a stage. No other house gives you this, at any price.

1name inside

Yours, and no one else’s

Your name or your signature embroidered inside the collar, and your number entered in the Register. After that, only one of these exists.

0times on sale

One price, always

Not once since the first day. The shirt you buy this morning will not be cheaper next month — a commitment very few houses are willing to make.

The House Service

Four things arrive with every piece. None of them is an extra, and none of them has ever been charged for separately.

I

The Fitting

45 minutes

One specialist, one client, no one else in the room. We take your measure and ask what your work actually demands — which rooms, how large, what the lighting does to a colour.

II

The Image Session

60 minutes

A separate hour on how you are seen from a stage: colour against your set, what a camera does to a collar, what to wear on the day that matters. You leave with a written note, not a sales pitch.

III

Your Name

Embroidered

Your name or your signature, worked inside the collar where only you will see it. Included, never an upcharge. After this stage only one of these shirts exists.

IV

The Register

For life

Your piece is numbered and you are entered in the Register. Each year: a complimentary re-measure, a renewal of the garment, and first sight of the coming edition before it is announced.

The shirt is what you take home. It is not what you are paying for.

One price. Always.

S$688

Every Haus Adima piece carries a single price. No seasonal sale. No discount codes. No struck-through “original price”. The man who buys today and the man who buys six months from now pay the same figure — because the value of the shirt does not move with a promotional calendar.

  • No seasonal sale
  • No discount codes
  • No struck-through prices
